Headed back to the doctor tomorrow.

Last Friday he called and said I have prostate cancer. Have to go discuss treatment options tomorrow. Yippy skippy.

  1. Gene - I popped over to thank you for understanding what I try to say and for telling Matt to go fly a kite. But when I saw what you have posted here, all that just went away.
    I thank God we live in a time where there are great treatment options! You and your family will be in our prayers!
    Please keep us posted...
    ~~~Blessings~~~
  2. Thanks Gracie. Yeah, lots of options. Gonna discuss those with the doc today. Talked with a friend at church last night (also retired fire) and he had his prostrate removed via robotic surgery at the City of Hope. It's not like ya need it to live.
  6. Treatable and beatable, especially if they found it early. I kicked Hodgkins in the a$$ 15 years ago. Stay positive.
  7. I second what Travis said -positive thinking really is a big thing when dealing with any illness, but especially so with cancer. No, I haven't had prostate cancer -lol -but I am now seven years so far, cancer free, after a run-in with colo-rectal cancer. Just do what the doctor recommends and then, put on the positivity plus attitude!
